Myanmar took actions against its citizens who helped the illegal entry of Chinese citizens. There were 611 cases of arrests of illegal entry this year. Due to a job shortage during COVID-19 outbreak, 442 illegal migrants entered from China. So, we would like to request the locals to participate in our operation to fight against the illegal entry of foreign migrants. Now, the township administrative department together with the police force, immigration department and wards’ leader are holding educational talks about the illegal entry of foreign migrants,” said Aung Myint, director of Labour, Immigration and population department in Shan State.
